Have had nothing but great experience going to the Forrest Hill Great Clips. I've been going here since it opened. Ashley is by far the best stylist. Always friendly , fast and easy to have a conversation with. She was even feeling sick from a terrible cold, and still couldn't have been any nicer.
I'm very disappointed as I got a 7 minute haircut and received VERY poor customer service and a bad haircut. I understand we all have bad days but this was by FAR the WORST haircut experience I have ever been through!
Before I explain my experience at this location I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I work in the food/service industry and I'm reliant on tips to make a living. I have NEVER once posted a bad review online as I'm well aware people have bad days and it's hard sometimes.
I got my first haircut at this location and the stylist was in such a terrible mood that even when I tried to make small talk; she responded with one word answers, while rolling her eyes and sighing. Prior to even sitting down, I told her that I would take GOOD care of her and to take her time. She replied with a condescending attitude/laugh and explained to me that she's cut hair for 25 years and that she was the manager. I asked for a blend up starting with a 1. Within 3 or 4 minutes I noticed she didn't blend the left properly, it was clearly not symetric and I brought this up to her. She said that she just had to scissor the top and it would blend well. After spending another 3 minutes scissoring the top of my hair she finished. I then told her that the haircut was uneven and I could still see stray hairs all around the side of my head. Apparently, she didn't like that I questioned how she cut my hair. She proceeded to sigh and tell me that this was the haircut I asked for. I didn't want to rock the boat per say further so I just told her that it was fine and I paid her and STILL gave her a $10 tip on $15.
I went here because I desperately needed a cut and my favorite stylist at NVS ( Becca) wasn't working, first mistake. I went and all seemed well until the cut began. She cut my one side too short so she had to take a nother half inch off of what i wanted ( which was 6 inches). Before i left i was informed that she took 8 inches off.. then later when i was truly looking at my hair I noticed how uneven the front part was ( if only i could post pictures). The service was okay, not very talkative but for the style itself... that was probably my last time going there
As I walked out I overheard her make a comment to a coworker saying something around the line of "I give customers what they want and they still b*****". She said more but I couldn't make out what she said and started laughing to the other coworker. However, by this time, I walked out the door.
I've been going here for about 10 years. Had one stylist when she left I went to her sister. Like them a lot and online check in makes it easier.
I sat in my car and looked at it and I just couldn't believe how bad this haircut was and the fact that she made me feel bad that I told her I wasn't happy. So I went back in and asked her to even it up a little bit. I sat in the chair, she took the razor and touched up the side that was obviously lower and buzzed the area with 5 swoops of the razor. It probably took her 15 seconds to do this and I'll say it wasn't the gentlest of cuts. She looks at me and says "How bout now is this what you want". I just said it's fine and left as I knew I would just need to go somewhere else to fix the haircut. While leaving for the SECOND time I still heard her talking about me with a coworker up front.
Friendly people always kind and courteous quick to start a conversation even when they are stressed and you can see their face from a long day they're always very nice and talkative I like going here because they're so personable
